As part of our history, Reeman Dansie once operated as an estate agents. Over the years, we have accumulated a wealth of knowledge around property auctions, resulting in recent sales achieving more than their estimated value and continuing to deliver the best possible result for clients.

Properties for auction come to us from deceased estates or where the property is unique with many potential uses, development opportunities or structural problems. Our team provides a full service, including conducting all the viewings for our clients prior to the property being auctioned.

Unlike an informal tender or sealed bids, at the fall of the gavel there is a binding contract, thus eliminating any uncertainty and any unforeseen delays associated with a conventional property sale.

All lots have an agreed reserve and cannot be sold for less without prior written consent of the seller. Reeman Dansie do not charge an entry fee for properties that are entered for auction. The only fee we charge is on a successful sale.

How do I submit a property for Auction?
To enter your property into an auction please call Chris Leeson on 01206 754754 and he will arrange to meet you at the property to discuss the auction process, estimated guide price and the agreed reserve.

The sale commission is 2% plus VAT on completion, whether the property was sold prior to, during or post auction.

In addition to the agency fees, the seller is responsible for the cost of the auction legal pack which forms part of the sale documentation in conjunction with the common auction conditions and any special conditions of sale.

 

After sale process
A deposit of 10% is paid once the buyer has signed the Memorandum of Sale and the completion date is usually within 42 days from the day of the auction.

All entries have an agreed reserve and cannot be sold for less without prior written consent of the seller.

How do I make a bid?
You can either attend the auction in person or arrange to bid by proxy by completing the necessary documentation in advance of the sale.
