Our quarterly Collector’s sales showcase 20th century decorative arts, each sale featuring in excess of 250 lots of ceramics and glass by leading companies such as Doulton, Moorcroft and Lalique. Visitors to our regular General sales will discover a range of antique and more contemporary pieces, dinner services, cut glass and group-lots of decorative ceramics and glass.
Our ceramics and glass department is headed up by James Grinter who has a broad knowledge across this discipline, with particular specialist knowledge of early English porcelain and Oriental ceramics. Recent highlights have included an 18thCentury Sevres porcelain dish from a French Royal service which exceeded £20,000 and a Chinese blue and white Ming porcelain bowl, which despite significant damage and repairs achieved a hammer price of £90,000.
