The classic car department at Reeman Dansie is lead by enthusiasts, with many of us well and truly bitten by the classic car bug. Our personal interests cover a diverse range from pre war cars to modern classics from the early 2000’s, meaning we have both the passion and the expertise needed to help you with the sale of your treasured vehicle.
From our own experiences buying vehicles as well as selling them, we know what it takes to make the process as easy and hassle-free as possible.
We hold classic car and automobilia auctions 4 times a year. These sales encompass everything from parts, number plates and garage accessories, to vehicles from emerging modern classics to pre-war cars and from tractors to commercial vehicles.
Recent highlights include our 2023 Rolls - Royce auction which included a fabulous 1956 Silver Wraith Long Wheel Base Limousine originally made for the British Ambassador to Sudan, which sold to a European buyer for £28,000. Other notable sales include a 1981 Ford Escort Ghia, formerly owned by Princess Diana, which sold for over £50,000 to a Chilean museum.
Once contacted, a vehicle viewing shall be arranged, where we will take photographs and discuss it with you. Once you agree to auction, we can collect the car or provide transportation, if you are unable to deliver to us personally. We can also arrange the secure storage of your car. In the run up to the auction, we will promote the car in the national press, as well as online and through our dedicated postal & email mailing lists. Following the sale we will correspond with you via email to inform you of the sale and hammer price. Two weeks post-sale we will account to you either via cheque or by BACS.

Once you see a vehicle you are interested in, you will have the opportunity to come and see it in person at one of our viewing days. If you are unable to attend the viewing, we are happy to take additional images and answer any questions you may have. On the day of the auction you can bid online via thesaleroom.com (this attracts an additional % commission levied by them), you can also bid via telephone, in the room or by pre-sale commission bid
