We include a dedicated section of antique clocks and barometers in each of our bi-monthly Fine Art and Antique sales. This tends to include up to 100 lots of Longcase, bracket, carriage and mantel clocks together with rarer collectors pieces such as lantern and novelty clocks. Lower value clocks, typically with estimates under £150 are featured in each of our regular General sales. Our specialist valuer Geoffrey Carr B.A. (Hons) has a degree in Fine Art Valuations and a great interest in horology which is crucial when appraising this specialist discipline.
Recent star lots have included a George III mahogany regulator longcase with sold for £8,000 and a late 17th Century brass lantern clock which achieved £2,500. For further details about selling or buying clocks or barometers please contact our department.
Regular valuation days are held by our specialists. To learn more, please get in touch with us, or fill out the online form to ask about the value of your items.
