Modern design is the favoured style for an increasing number of our buyers and we feature significant modern design in our quarterly Collector’s auctions. These sales celebrate the best of late 19th, 20th century and contemporary style and our catalogues can read like a who’s-who of design. Our ceramics and glass section of the sale includes works by Moorcroft, Doulton, Royal Worcester, Lalique, Waterford and various other leading factories. We feature significant designers in our jewellery and textiles sections and our miscellanea section of the catalogue includes modern design furniture, sculpture and furnishings by the likes of Ercol and Gordon Russell. Rarer and more valuable pieces by iconic names such as Eames, Jacobsen, Wegner and Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson often feature in our flagship Fine Art sales. Many of the buyers for such lots are from further afield and whatever the context, our thorough cataloguing and extensive online photography ensures that bidders have the confidence to engage in our auctions, wherever they are around the globe.
