Not buying? You can also watch and listen to the sale live from anywhere, as if you were in the room.
Sign in/register an account on our website - sign in/register. If you are registering with us for the first time, after completing the online registration form you will be sent an email with a link to verify your email address. Please click on this link to verify your account. If you do not receive your verification email, please call us on 01206 754754.
If you have previously registered an account on our website but have not yet registered a bank card (necessary to be approved for live bidding), you can do so by:
Clicking on your username/name on the far right of the main menu bar (if you are not signed in this will show as ‘My Account’)
Clicking on the option for ‘Account Settings’
Making sure your address is up to date - if not click 'Change my details' to correct
As soon as the auction is about to begin, a ‘Bid Live’ button will appear against the sale in the upcoming auctions list (both on our homepage and in our calendar of events here).
Click ‘Bid Live’
Accept the Terms & Conditions
Click the ‘Bid Live’ button on the auction catalogue
Switch on the audio and video buttons so that you can hear and watch the action in real time
Wait for your lot to be up for auction
Bidding increments are shown under the lot details on the left of the screen
If you are willing to bid the ‘asking bid’ amount, press the blue bid button quickly
If your bid is confirmed, the bid button will turn green and you will be notified with the message 'you are in the lead'
If you are outbid, the blue bid button will reappear and you must decide if you are willing to bid the next value up
If you win your lot, you will receive an invoice from us as soon as the auction has closed
Please always remember, whether you are bidding in the room or online, bidding is a contractual commitment to buy
