FEES : Please note that if you bid on a timed online auction, you will be charged our standard buyer’s premium of 25% subject to VAT (30% in total) plus an additional 3% (plus VAT) timed online bidding charge on the hammer price.

Storage

All wines are stored in bond at Octavian, Corsham, Wiltshire—one of the UK's premier bonded wine storage facilities. Wines held in bond have not been subject to UK Excise Duty or VAT.

​UK Deliveries

    • Buyers may keep wines in bond by transferring them to another UK bonded warehouse (no Duty or VAT payable).
    • All UK deliveries, in-bond transfers, and storage arrangements are coordinated through Octavian, with delivery timescales confirmed after order processing.
    • Alternatively, buyers may take delivery to a UK address outside of bonded storage, with applicable Excise Duty and VAT becoming payable before release from bond.
    • Buyers can choose to store wines at Octavian and transfer stock to their own account; Octavian operates a secure process to manage accounts and compliance.

​International Shipping

Octavian does not arrange shipments outside the UK. International buyers must engage their own freight forwarder or international haulier to collect wines. A list of recommended hauliers is available upon request. Wines exported from the UK are not subject to UK Excise Duty or VAT.​

Important: Import duties, taxes, and regulations in the destination country are the buyer's responsibility and vary by jurisdiction.
