We hold two dedicated sales of Sporting Art and Taxidermy each year, these forming part of our bi-monthly Fine Art and Antiques sales. These specialist sales typically number 150-200 lots comprising racing and hunting paintings and prints, taxidermy, sporting trophies and ephemera, associated books, fishing rods and tackle and sundry other items celebrating or relating to traditional sporting pursuits. These auctions are keenly attended and supported by specialist collectors both near and far and provide a proper context for many items which frequently pass through general auctioneers sales without due attention.
Our Sporting and Taxidermy specialist is Jonathan Benson, a highly knowledgable specialist who is also a racehorse owner, show judge, keen huntsman and fisherman. If you have items which may be appropriate for one our dedicated Sporting and Taxidermy sales contact Jonathan to arrange an appraisal.
Regular valuation days are held by our specialists. To learn more, please get in touch with us, or fill out the online form to ask about the value of your items.
