Carpets and rugs are an integral feature of our bi-monthly fine art auctions. Rare tribal and early Eastern rugs can be easily overlooked when considering house contents, our valuers, during home visits, are particularly alive to the fact that treasure can be just under your feet. Recent discoveries include a large Heriz carpet with a property label for H.M. King George V which sold for £3,900 and an early 20th century Persian rug retailed by Maple and Co. which achieved £3,700 in 2023.
