In the automobilia section, a solid silver Rolls-Royce spirit of Ecstasy mascot produced by a factory for the Queen’s 1977 Silver Jubilee made a surprise £2,600 (inclusive of BP), while a fascinating autograph album signed by the greats of the 1960’s motor racing circuits fetched £2,080.

James Grinter who along with Lewis Rabett ran the sale, said ‘We were delighted with the results of the sale which illustrated there is still a good demand for classic cars if they are sensibly estimated and well promoted. To have a one hundred percent sale rate is pretty amazing for the current market, especially as we achieved some very good results’.
