For larger collections, we would be delighted to offer you the opportunity to have one of our valuers visit you free of charge. They can provide informal identification, valuation, and sales advice. Our team of valuers and specialists are often available to offer free, professional advice. We offer free auction valuations by prior appointment each Saturday morning from 9am – 1pm. At all other times there are usually valuers on hand during normal office hours to inspect items but please phone in advance to ensure availability.
Charges for sale are 16% commission together with a £5 lotting fee per lot, per sale. We make a nominal fee for catalogue illustration where we consider that illustration in the printed catalogue may benefit an item, all charges are subject to VAT. In the instance of an item being unsold only the lotting fee is payable, items in our care are insured and stored prior to sale at no charge to our clients. We can arrange couriers for larger consignments for which our recommended couriers charge £50 per hour.
